I had this dresser for a little over a year and I did not have that many items in the drawers but slowly it started falling apart. The legs at one point collapsed so I took them off and kept the drawer, then the board collapsed inside one of the drawers and is unable to be used.

So, you are not crazy if you have a lot of extra stuff left over after assembly.

Installation is an absolute pain! Expect about 5 hours of work plus potential rework when things don't line up. Every single piece even the gliders are disassembled and need to be put together. Quality is fine but you shouldn't be expecting to build a dresser from scratch like that.

We bought this for our son's room. It was perfect size and easy to put together, well I didn't put it together - my husband did, but it looked easy! I recommend this piece!
