We have had this sofa for three years in a living room. It gets sat on and laid on and that's it. No one is jumping on it or roughhousing in any way. In the last week every single spring has popped off, one completely. We looked to see if we could fix it and the parts the spring holders are attached to are particle board and are breaking off in pieces. Extremely disappointed that a sofa in a sitting room didn't even last 3 full years before having to go to the dump.
