This was a purchase alone I would not have considered. When my wife saw it, it was love at first sight. I knew immediately it was coming home with us. I didn't see where it would go in either the living room or the family room. Now that it is home, it does fit in and now we both love it(me not as much as my wife). It doesn't provide light in a way that you could read a book under it, but it is a conversation piece and quite soothing when on. The value was great compared to lights in this category and it made my wife happy! Patrick
