I ordered the lux adapt soft last in February. When we tried out the mattress in the store, the associate had us jump on the bed and we could not feel the other side move. This was lovely! My husband gets up frequently in the middle of the night, and I am a light sleeper. We got the bed home, and it was not the same as in the store. I could feel the movement of my husband every time he shifted or got up. We returned the bed from a adapt soft to lux adapt soft at the recommendation of the sales associate. My husband felt the lux adapt soft was more comfortable and was hopeful he would not get up so much. We also purchased a foundation. Finally, we purchased a platform bed. All of this was done to cut down on the movement of our bed. Unfortunately, there is still a LOT of movement in the bed. Even if my 6-year-old is on the bed next to me, I can feel it. Unfortunately, the only way I can sleep if my husband wakes up frequently at night is to sleep on the floor next to the bed (we live in a small home and do not have a spare bedroom). Desperate, I reached out to tempur pedic to see if perhaps we could switch to a split king but was informed that we could only make 1 exchange and the new exchange was final. They recommended I reach out to the store where I purchased the bed but alas we ended up buying it on the Tempur Pedic website Sadly, I am still paying for my bed so can in no way afford a new one. The bed IS quite comfortable, but we had purchased it mainly to help with movement. As I write this review, my eyelids are heavy from lack of sleep, and I am lamenting the purchase of my expensive bed.

We have had the mattress for 5 weeks and it is still not "Soft" as purchased. We were not told it would take weeks before it would be.

I have another firm tempurpedic mattress that I bought in 2012. The quality of that product is amazing, I still have it and love it. I purchased the new luxeadapt firm for my cabin and I have had nothing but back pain, restless nights tossing and turning trying to get comfortable without luck. I wake up every morning with pain and tired. Do not buy this new product, it does not compare to the old product.

Ordered a "Last Year's Model" at a 30% discount. (with no refund) We weren't able to lay on one because none in stores. Was basing our choice from having had a Tempurpedic we absolutely loved for 20 years. We assumed since this was a better/much more expensive model than the one we had prior, it would be at least as good and assumably better. It is nowhere near as nice as our old one. Even after 20 years, our old one was firmer than the new one. The new one is like mush on the sides, there's no support, so you start sliding off it when trying to sit. It is also extremely mushy in the middle (even though it's a "FIRM" model.) And, it's extremely hot. The worst part is since it is a closeout, at a discount price, there is no exchange for a different mattress... So, the crazy amount of money we paid is wasted... Lesson learned... should have bought one we could try first but assumed that for thousands of dollars, the quality was a given. Was trying to save a few bucks with the older, (now we know faulty) model. We've even had two sets of friends we let sleep on our old one that ended up getting Tempurpedics... We bragged on them any chance we got. It's a rotten feeling for sure...
