Living Room Bookcases
Bookcases aren't just for books! Bookcases can double as living room display cabinets to help house knick-knacks and other décor items. If there is a large wall in your living room that needs something extra, use a bookcase to help take up some of the empty space while displaying sculptures, photos and yes, books too. If your sofa isn't flush against a wall in your living room, try putting a bookcase on the wall behind the sofa. This will make your room feel larger by adding depth. Designer tip: if you choose a bookcase with no back, try painting the wall behind just the bookcase so it shows through the shelving. The color should complement the color used for the rest of the wall.
