The online pictures doesn't do this set justice. It's absolutely beautiful. The wood is dark and shines. I'm glad I went with the upholstered chairs instead of wood back. The pedestal base compliment the table well. I only used one of the extensions so far and there is plenty of space at the table.

I love how this piece looks in our dining room. Its intricate design makes it look much more expensive than it really is. I also bought the round version for our breakfast nook and four fabric back chairs to make everything match. The leaf insert allows us to add chairs for Thanksgiving dinner, etc. The wood is not very durable but since we sit at the counter most nights, it shouldn't get scratched up too quickly. If it does, I have the warranty!
