Comments about Demeter Ginger Jar

I am a white temple jar collector by nature. I like that it never becomes tiresome and always looks fresh, clean and cheerful. I love the larger sized jars. I'm not a tiny collector of things. Our temporary rental we are in is a result of a total loss to our home through a lighting fire on July 4, 2023 that was a two alarm fire. Our home is still under construction. We have been replacing our personal articles when we see things we love. This includes our temple jars. Our home will be painted pure white the same color everywhere inside. We love the look of color drenching the wood work, moldings, doors, crown and base the same color with different paint finishes. Our upholstered furniture is all off white velvets, along with other off white fabrics for different textures. You get the point. Our artwork is also black and white, along with fixures with hints of gold, crystals, metal and glass. The point to all of this is we came across this piece. It was Black and white. We love black and white. We love that it's a different temple jar than what we currently own. The other feature we really like is that it has no shiny texture and it's done with a matte finish. The looseness of the hand painting on the finish work isn't perfection and that was another reason we loved it. It looks like an artist took is brush with a single stroke moving it into this woven pattern. The box came well packaged and my husband opened it up for me. He was curious what it would look like in person. Once we took a dry cloth and dusted it and vacuumed up the styrofoam everywhere, he placed it up on the furniture. We like where it is. It has grown on me in the place amongst the forever roses and crystal candlesticks on the iron mirrored tray with our alabaster lamp. We talked about purchasing the middle size when we move home in 8 months. We currently are out of room in our condominium. We will be back for future purchases.
