I got it in gray...the color is perfect, not too dark or too light. Drawers are spacious. It doesn't need a box spring/foundation but still I got a bonkie board just to be safe. Overall, the bed is gorgeous and very sturdy.

It looks good appearance, and nice to have two drawers which are large enough for my situation. Basically, however, the most important point of a bed frame is how sturdy it is, especially for king bed. Head, side, and foot panels are OK, but the inner parts which lift up mattress are not enough to me. I experienced at least 5 queen bed frames but the structure of this frame is the most unique shape. What I saw from previous frames was that there is a metal beam like skeleton which connecting head to foot panel at center. The beam-structure is either hung or fixed to head and foot panel. This ONE SINGLE COMPONENT actually plays very important two roles. First, it is the supportive structure for slats (narrow and thin wood parts and look like rib cage) which lift mattress. Second, it prevents the entire frames to be bent especially in case of wood structure. Unfortunately, this Charleston king Panel Bed with 2 Underbed Drawers does not have this beam. The second one I point out may be solved out because the slats are fixed with screws to side panel. However, because this bed frame does not have the beam, the slats should have leg to the floor. In this situation, slats should have enough number of leg to support slats which lift up mattress on top of. Unfortunately, it does NOT have enough legs. There are only 8 legs. 2 legs are installed in each slat, so only 4 slats among 13 slats have leg. 3 slats are placed on top of drawer. So 6 slats does not have any supportive structure. Let me describe with simple figure below. It is lateral view. Left is head right is foot. (Head) (Head) slat---slat---slat---slat---slat---slat---slat---slat---slat---slat---slat---slat---slat (Foot) (Head) [leg] [leg] [leg] [leg] [ Drawer ] As you see, 6 slats are on the air without no support. Maybe my concern is way to far, but I have no chance to know this before I buy because it was covered by mattress.
